Chuck Klosterman has nothing but un-nice things to say about this character. He has some issue of this whole being a prime example of unreal or fake love, which seems very much better than the real thing, but is unattainable because it doesn't really exist. Of course, what do I know? I haven't seen this movie. The last Cusak movie I saw was Grosspoint Blank.
Hey Bill: It's one of the few movies I've seen more than once. Somethign about this character hit home with me. I don't see him as obsessive, or feeling that high-school-it-must-be-love thing. I think he was genuine, passionate and sincere.
Hey Film Geek. I know that you mentioned this in a post a while ago (the thing about not watching movies more than once that is). So I've been wondering something. You buy dvds right? So, how come? Is it like "The Catcher In The Rye" in the film "Conspiracy Theory"?
I mean, I HAVE purchased some for my kids, and I did buy this movie (Say Anything) for my wife some years ago because we both really love it. But, I don't think I own any other videos. Sorry. Does that make me even stranger?
Oh, forgot the Superman DVD collection. I did get that, but mostly for all the stuff I hadn't seen that's on it. For example, I've played a load of that stuff already, but I haven't watched Superman, Superman 3 or Superman 4. Just all the stuff I hadn't seen.
