The Simpsons Movie

Now that I've stopped laughing, I've started thinking about The Simpsons Movie.

Here is My Top Five: Ways I'm Similar To Homer Simpson

1. Homer's pear-shaped body was forged by beer. The Film Geek's pear-shaped body was forged by laziness. And beer.

2. Homer has three children, each smarter than their father. The Film Geek has three children, each smart enough to know they should pretend to be dumber than their father.

3. MMMMMMM....donuts.

2. Homer has a good heart and wants to do the right thing, even though he's too self absorbed to pay attention to the needs of others. The Film Geek...I'm sorry, what were you saying?

My 10 yr old son so wants to see the movie, but we've restricted him from watching the TV show. Is the movie appropriate for his age?

The ways we are like the Simpsons: We had neighbors we called Ned and Maude Flanders. When they caught us outside and ran over to chat, we called it "Being Flandered". LOL.

Hey, ETW: I think it's OK. Aside from a couple of words like "ass" and one joke about Jesus while at the church (nothing more than you'd see on the series) I think it's safe for a savy 10 year old with a cool sense of humor.

I'm really careful about what my kids watch. I'll let the watch this.

I liked it. I rented it a week or so ago because Curmy wouldn't stop singing "Spider Pig." I love The Simpsons.

Yeah, if I have to hear the song "spider king" again, I'm gonna have to hurt my husband!

And FilmGeek, ummm...you'll have to remove #2. You have 4 kids!

Hehehehe! I thought it was the most hilarious movie ever!!!

I let my 8-year-old and 10-year-old (at the time - they're now 9 and 11) watch it. They really loved it.
