"One more game of pool, then let's put in a DVD. Whattya say?" My friend Danny is a movie freak, and back then had several hundred titles in his game room to choose from. Although he seemed partial to horror flicks.
Real partial.
He's a doctor, and one would think he'd see so much blood and guts during a typical workday that he wouldn't be up to having a healthy obsession with slasher flicks.
One would be wrong.
"Ever see Re-Animator?" he asked. I told him I hadn't. He put it in.

Danny said it was funny, and that the intended humor was an important element in the flick. I didn't peek though my fingers long enough to see the joke.
I'm still haunted by it.

We just watched "Edmond", also directed by Stuart Gordon (stars William H. Macy). It's a great, great film (based on a David Mamet play). Gordon can direct more than gore.
Yep, I've seen it (and commented on it here.) I was a little disappoint.
Re-Animator is one of those timeless classics like Evil Dead 2, Hatchet for a Honeymoon, and House of a 1000 Corpses. I could watch it everyday.
No I did not! I gave him life...
Classic movie. Classic.
I told my mom I was seeing some PG piece of shit when she dropped me off...and then ran into this!
I pulled the same switcheroo when I saw "The Hitcher", "Toxic Avenger", and "ROTLD". Boy, was I clever...
Thanks for the reminder Filmy :D
