Those who read Don't Print Thisand Strange Places already know that Bill Lynch is a really talented writer. You may not know, however, that the guy's willing to freeze his junk off for a good cause.
Yep... next winter and I'm going in costume. The dude in the cow suit (and the girl in the bikini) sort of stole the show for me. No bikini for me, but there's got to be something to add another dimension of weirdness to this thing.
Good to seeya, Denny. You gotta stay outta the cold so you don't get sick before you hit The Trail! You get a pass.
ETW: Cheerleading is appreciated.
And Bill: That video was just damn funny, especially the part with you training for the event. Very well done. I'm serious about participating. And I think a bunch of us would do it. We seem to love us some attention.
I’m all about doing crazy things. This one time I trained a bunch of kids from southern California in the ancient art of karate, and taught them the true way of the warrior... NO MERCY!! Then this snot nosed kid from New York and his know it all gardner friend kicked my top students ass in an overly public manner. Some people said it was a testament to the human spirit, and showed that an individual can overcome any odds if their heart is pure and the cause just. What the F*** ever! That kid got off a lucky shot! Cobra Kai!!
I can't take credit for the video --only the concept of it, which could have gone on a lot longer and been more elaborate if not for well...we just didn't get around to it. So, next year? Anybody else want in on this mad crusade?
Yep, Bill, I'm in it next year for sure. I'll probably need you or someone to tip me off about the when and what's of doing it. Being out of Charleston and all, I sometimes don't get the newsletter.
And I really do think we could get a few folks to join in. I think we could raise some cash.
"Freezin' for a reason" that was a good line from my friend John Corbett. I will probably regret this, but I could probably be persuaded to join in too.
What a small world...John and I went to neighboring high schools, but were friendly during high school and in our early years of college. I've only spoken to him once via email since, I think. I remember him as a really good guy.
In a basketball game he once fouled me intentionally. I made the shot, and got two free throws to boot. Turned it into a 4 point play and reminded him of it often during the next several years.
Bill or Film Geek, either of you let me know when and where to sign up- or any pertinent details. Hell, if you think it could draw some attention and help raise some more money- I'll even dress up like Batman.

brrrr...
I got cold chills before I even watched the video.
Hey Film Geek - just dropping by.

I'd be happy to stand by the pool and applaud, but no cold water for me.

Ah, Cobra, good to have you stop by. It's a short trip from Boulder to sunny southern California, eh?

Boulder?! Please! That town of yoga bums is no place for a true WARRIOR!! Cobra Kai!
Somebody should tell this guy the rules of blog etiquette!

I could go with the cheering section, but not the icy cold water. Bill is a better man than me. If I was a man.
Enjoy your bread and circuses.

Yikes!
I got you on the list, Jim.

Cool Bill!
Bad choice of words, let's try: Alright Bill!!
And count me in for next year's cold plunge.

Gotcha at the top of the list, Reverend! :)
