Love it. I hadn't thought about that spot and the catchy riff in years. CBS should start airing these spots again.
Hoyt: Like with you, that riff caught my attention as a kid, and probably helped shape my interest in news and current events. It was awesome.
How have I never even heard of "In the News" before? From the digi-sound of that background music, I'm going to guess it's from the 80s, in which case I would've still been in bed hungover or hadn't stopped drinking from the night before.
