Whatever Happened To...Meeno Peluce

Voyagers was a unique show that lasted 20 episodes on NBC during the 1982-83 season. Jon Erik-Hexum and kid sidekick Meeno traveled through time to right wrongs and kick ass. Each week they landed somewhere in history, discovered an anomaly (that's geek talk for "something ain't quite right") and worked to correct history. I think Voyagers was a forerunner of shows like Quantum Leap and Sliders.

Anyhow, Hexum was killed in a tragic blank-gun shooting incident. I haven't' seen Meeno since.

UPDATE: See the latest update on Peluce (and his photography biz) here at this link.

Voyagers used to come on Sunday mornings at 9. I LOVED that show as a little kid. I wanted one of those time compasses...but Santa wasn't good to me.

Remember how it used to light up red when they knew something was wrong....and when they fixed the problem it would turn green? Great show. Especially how they catapulted through space.

I haven't thought about that show in probably ten years. Thanks.

Yep, it was a fun memory for me too. Voyagers was a great idea that as about 15 years ahead of it's time.

Hey Anonymous, thanks for stopping by. You know, I may remember some of these just 'cause I'm old, I suppose.

I remember that one too! The one that I remember best was the one where they had to help Thomas Edison with creating his lightbulb fillament.

I watched every episode of the show and I even have the book of it. I had a scrape book of VOYAGERS and of both of the actors, but when I moved I lost it. You have no idea how upset I was when I lost my scrapebook. It had tons of stuff that would of been collectors items. I did manage to hold onto the book. I would love to have every episode on DVD. That show was awesome and it was a great a great loss when Jon-Erik Hexum died.

My children love this and my 10 year old has the most enormous crush on Meeno Peluce. This is why I know that about ten years ago he was a history (!!) teacher at Hollywood High, but now he seems to be a free lance photographer.
