Some film scenes are so important--so vital--that they shouldn't be forgotten. Many speak volumes about our society, our culture and the human condition, while others are just damn fun to remember.
I'll let others decide which side this scene from Say Anything falls on. All I know is, it's one of my all-time favorites:

Ooh, yeah, that's a good one.
Great scene.
I love Lloyd Dobler! I just watched this the other night. Classic.
Thanks folks!!
I love this movie--really, I love it--and I tend to think it's much deeper than it probably really is. This scene, for me anyway, is about a Generation X kid distancing himself from his father's generation, throwing off the old customs of ambition and achievement (at all cost, often) and living for the moment.
But...[ahem] that's probably just me.
To know Lloyd Dobler is to love him.
It's been playing on the encore stations lately and I watch it every time. Damon can recite that scene perfectly. Awesome movie!
